Tales of the Traveling Suit
Swan Princess Producer, Seldon Young is known far and wide for his Swan Princess argyle fashion. As he says "its wonderful to be proud enough of your work to wear it on your sleeve." He loves that the outfit choice has allowed him to have many fun experiences around the world with amazing Swan Princess fans!
This month we are highlighting Seldon's visit to the Terra Cotta Army in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China.
The Terra Cotta Army is a collection of statues buried in the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, in the third century BCE. There are life-sized statues of 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots, 40,000 bronze weapons, and 670 horses, as well as statues of royal officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians.
The truly incredible thing about these statues is that every single one of them is different. They were originally painted and carried real weapons that would have made them look incredibly life like. Sadly, the paint has worn off with age.
Also sadly lost to time is the city and landscape built around the statues. contemporary Historian Sima Qian described the tomb as having "100 flowing rivers simulated using mercury, and above them the ceiling was decorated with heavenly bodies, below which were the features of the land".
We think the only thing that could rival the artistry of this incredible landmark is Seldon's swanderful Swan Princess suit! We can't wait to see where his adventures will take him next!
As a special Easter gift to all of our amazing fans we have an exclusive coloring page for you to print and decorate! We think there is nothing more iconic than the villainous Rothbart in festive bunny ears!
We would love to see your finished artwork! Share your pictures with us on social media @SwanPrincessOfficial
This April we are celebrating the birthday of the villain we love to hate, Rothbart! This makes Rothbart's zodiac sign Aries and his birthstone a diamond.
Aries are a very strong personality. They are loud, brave, passionate, and strong. They are warm and likeable with a big personality but get bored easily so they are constantly finding new ways to entertain themselves.
They love competition and even more than that they love to WIN competition. This makes them very driven to get exactly what they want out of life.
Aries thrives off attention and thrill-seeking adventures. They have a big presence and love to make an entrance.
Though they are courageous they can also be reckless. Aries are very honest and somewhat tactless, they always say what they're thinking.
The diamond symbolizes strength and has been worn by many powerful people in history, both good and bad, to bring strength and invincibility.
Is your birthday in April or do you just love the color of the sparkling diamond? Purchase your gemstone locket here!
Easter has us thinking about all things Spring, especially bunnies! And our favorite unwilling rabbit with attitude is Wesley the musician! You will remember him from his scene-stealing performance in the "Practice, Practice, Practice" song with Prince Derek and Bromley. You can own your own piece of the Swan Princess film with an original art cel of Wesley himself! How can you not smile with that face on your wall?

Question from Emma: Odette's dress is a beautiful green and white. I know white was chosen to symbolize the swan, but is there a special reason why green was chosen? (Green is my favorite color, so I love this!)
Answer: We asked animator Steven Gordon and he said, while many people were involved with the decision of Odette's wardrobe colors, all of the colors were inspired by the lake. The greenery, the blue water, and even the white reflection of the moon all played a part in the design. Slowly through the films, Odette's dress color shifts from the original white and green to shades of blue just as the colors of Swan Lake changes with the seasons.

Goodness what a strange time it’s been. I think the weather might be going a little crazy. I’ve heard the term April Showers bring May Flowers, but I never thought that would also include snow! For the past week it has been a constant shift of rain, hail, snow, 5 minutes of sunshine, and then it will happen all over again. We worry for the crops that were just sewn not too long ago. What on earth could be making this sudden breath of winter right when spring appears? Bromley jokes that it’s Rothbart’s birthday present to himself since his birthday is in this month, and honestly I hope it’s only a joke. If I know anything about that man, if he was able to spite our kingdom from beyond, he would.
