Waves of Words English Intern Program
We are actively seeking interns that want to spend up to three months in Thailand, speaking English with children from Kindergarten through High School.

The Waves of Words Program, an initiative designed to bring conversational English to life for the children of Ban Nam Khem, a small fishing village in Thailand. This program is named in honor of the 2004 tsunami that forever changed this community.
Swan Princess Producer, Seldon Young, was near this village in Thailand when the terrible tragedy happened, 20 years ago. He has spent significant time supporting the recovery process and building connections in Thailand over the years.
He has worked with the primary school to create a thriving music program. Now, with the growing importance of English in Thailand’s tourism industry, he has expanded his efforts with this innovative program.
Waves of Words is not a traditional teaching program. Instead, it emphasizes natural communication and interaction, helping students learn English in a fun and practical way through daily activities such as:
• Playing games and participating in recess activities
• Joining field trips and outdoor adventures
• Sharing meals and meaningful conversations
• Assisting teachers in the classroom
• Singing songs and organizing creative group projects
By incorporating English into the students’ everyday lives, this program helps them develop confidence and fluency in a way that feels organic and enjoyable.
To make the intern experience fulfilling and comfortable, we have paired with Young Caring for Our Young to provide:
• Room and board for the entire duration of the stay in Thailand
• All necessary transportation
• Opportunities to explore the culture and history of this remarkable village
